Biography[]
Shaun Smyth was born in Glasglow, Scotland and raised in Calgary, Canada. He is a graduate of the BFA acting program at the University of Alberta. Shaun has worked from coast to coast in both theater and film. He played Laertes in Hamlet and Ishmael in Moby Dick, a wordless physical theater piece performed entirely to the music of Claude Debussy at the Stratford Festival. His other Stratford credits include Macbeth, Amadeus and The Country Wife. For the Canadian Stage Company, he performed in productions of The Pillowman, Of Mice and Men, Closer and Trainspotting. Some of Shaun's selected film and television credits include Four Minutes, Proteus, Kevin Hill, Three to Tango, Steal This Movie!, Soul Food, Pit Pony, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, The Associates, Blue Murder and Relic Hunter. Additionally, he has had a nine-episode arc as Anil on Fox's Fringe and a recurring role as probation officer Warren on AMC's The Killing.
